   In 2008 we raised $3,750!
Every summer we join the “throng of thousands” literally, w
ho mount two wheels to fight MS.   This is one of the longest running charity rides in the Pittsburgh area, and it shows in how outstanding the support is.  There are rest stops about every 10 miles, marshals at almost every intersection, and some of the wildest bikes and jerseys you will see.

This ride has a fair number of “rolling hills”, nothing very steep, but one would still want to be in descent shape to do the two days, each at about 75 miles per day.

In 2008 we raised $3,500!

This was our first year riding in the Tour de Cure.  We kicked it off though n grand style with the first Spin-A-Thon in the area for charity.
That 3 hour spin raised over $2,500 to go towards our team’s contribution to fight against the disease of diabetes.  We ended up with a team of 14 riders (not all shown here). Not only did we bring a number of “never evers” along to experience the joys of riding outside (after making sure we trained them to handle it), but we also had at least 5 people do their greatest distances ever that day - 30, 50 & 100 mile routes were all represented.

May, 2008 we had 17 riders participate!

Every spring our “season opener” charity ride is the Carol Harris Habitat for Humanity Charity Ride.  This ride has been a hit with local folks for many years.  This ride is well supported with marshals at most intersections, and it’s the closes charity ride in our area.

Are you serious about losing weight?  Are you serious about getting in shape??  Are you just bored with doing the same old thing day after day???  Let a Spin-A-Thon, Charity Rides, other “Epic” Rides & Cycling Vacation be the motivation you need to finally give you a Reason to Ride and train indoors.  Choose NOW to put some sort of tangible goal behind your workouts.

Here at Global Ride, we believe that riding outside will open a world of fun, good health, and adventure you never thought possible.  If you’ve never riden outside before, we can help you learn all you need to in our Workshops, and get you into the right shape in our Spinning, Pilates & Yoga classes.  We’ll help you begin to live beyond the same old same old!
