Our first Cycling Fusion franchise has been sold to a group building a brand new athletic facility in Harmarville called the Pittsburgh Tennis & Athletic Club. They are working hard to try and open for the winter of 2010-2011. All of our equipment (the awesome Keiser M3 bikes, our kickin’ sound system, digital video projectors, 10 foot screens, etc) will be moved there as well. They are building us the perfect showcase room for the new Franchise (3D mockup shown above), and we will conduct our world domination from that location. Did I just say that? Sorry, got carried away.

The last 3 years at Global Ride Training Center has been amazing in so many ways; breaking the unspoken rules of “traditional Spinning®”, meeting and connecting so many indoor and outdoor cyclists that we’ve actually created new groups of riders all over our little region. It has been exhausting and rewarding at the same time. All of the work and relationships though, have been leading to one thing... the launch of our Cycling Fusion franchise system. Cycling Fusion started with just a “manifesto” and found many other cyclists and indoor instructors that agreed. We worked in the “live lab” environment of our local club and we are now ready to share what we’ve learned and the technology we’ve developed with the world (or at least, we’re going to start with the U.S. :-)

Our cycling room is now only going to be open on a “private membership” basis. We will give key access for $65/month. You can come 24 hrs/day, any day of the week. When we are here, we can put on video or use our audio system. We are also only setting up 10 bikes, and arranging the other half of the room for using stability balls, mats, small weights and other props. We are doing this so we can focus 100% on making our franchise roll out a success. There will be no scheduled classes, but with the small 10 to 15 people we have who are doing the private membership, we have all agreed to share when we are coming to the club in the chance we might ride together from time to time.

We are liquidating everything in the pro-shop at cost - including a few Garmin & Timex heart monitors, one iBike power meter, and about 10 pair of spinning shoes. Every piece of cycling clothes is also $25 unless already marked below that price.

So, as long as you are on our email list, we will keep you apprised of our progress. My family and I thank you for all your support during these formative years.

Spring Sale in Pro Shop

It’s time to move all our clothing in the Pro Shop. EVERYTHING is 25% OFF! There are some really nice riding shorts - especially for women - as well as many variety of bib shorts for men. If you are doing a charity ride this summer, you will want more than one pair of shorts for the 2 day event, and bibs offer the most support for the longer rides.

This discount also brings some of the merchandise BELOW COST - so don’t delay, we can’t say how long the sale will last (it’s a secret :-) !

The Spin-A-Thon is Coming Back!

We’re putting on another Spin-A-Thon to not only raise money for MS and the ADA, but to help all those who love to ride in these fantastic supported rides to raise money to ride in MORE THAN JUST ONE! Check out the details, and recruit your friends to come. The more money we raise, the more we will distribute to each person’s CHARITY ACCOUNT - thereby allowing you to ride in more than one event. Raising money for charity just got a WHOLE LOT easier!!!

Santa Sent His Elf To Global Ride!

We were lucky enough to have one of Santa’s elves stop by this week to spice up our retail area at Global Ride. She not only left us some new Heart Monitors, but she also lowered the prices on a bunch of our inventory - we were in a good Christmas mood, so we told her to “slash away”. If you have bike riders (indoor or out) on your Christmas list this year, why not stop in for a few minutes and see what we have. Cycling DVDs, a great line of women’s shorts, assorted tops, Hammer products, etc. There are a variety of “good stuff” here - stop in and look around. You’ll be on Santa’s “good list” for sure!

Another Virtual Cycling Ride & Premier is A Hit!

After 2 years of riding, shooting, editing, & testing, Global Ride has completed it’s 6th title and 2nd complete box set of virtual cycling DVDs. In the field of virtual cycling training DVDs, Global Ride Productions can boast of having the most titles of any major competitor. Not only that, but with their 3 separate coaching tracks, and the LIVE recorded sessions (three of which were recorded here at the Global Ride Training Center), they offer the most variety as well. But what we hear from our viewers is how nice the added Yoga, Pilates or Strength Training is at the end of the video - a half hour of bonus cross training; also unique in the field. It was a great day for the production crew, and from the looks of the Youtube video, the riders enjoyed it as well.
